Garden Design in Oxfordshire, London and the Home Counties
A well designed garden gives incredible pleasure and enjoyment all year round by providing both real impact (that 'wow' factor), and romance (masses of colour, texture and scent).. Each client is different and sensitivity to the client's needs, taste, house, its location, surroundings and the site itself is required to create a garden design that not only delights and surprises but also “works” and “belongs”.
Classical Design, Contemporary Planting...
I marry a classical timeless garden design style to a more contemporary style of planting, using abundant shrubs and perennials, with wonderful combinations of textures and colours that are designed to contrast or compliment each other. For instance pale lilac globes (Allium Giganteum) against bold blue gray foliage (Hosta Sieboldiana) with vertical yellow spires (Eremurus bungei) and purple flowers and dainty foliage (Thalictrum aquilegifolium).
Whether designing the tiniest courtyard garden or the grounds of a large country estate, every detail is considered from the start of a design to completion of a project. Some clients love to be involved in all aspects of the garden design and build and others prefer just to enjoy the garden once it has been completed.
The majority of my clients are from Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Buckinghamshire and London. Please do not hesitate to contact me for a free initial consultation. International commissions include a 300 acre property outside Cape 'town, South Africa , and a 10 acre holiday resort near Mombasa, Kenya.
